Nails Inc Whitehall Magnetic Polish

    Good evening, Dear Reader!

Tonight I have one the the Nails Inc magnetic polishes to show you, the teal one called Whitehall.  I saw that the set of three were on Sephora's site for $30, and when I got the $20 gift card Sephora sent out, my will weakened enough to spring for it.  Wearing Whitehall, I'm glad it did.

In the set, only the silver one has the magnet in its cap, so there's just the one magnet for the three polishes.  That's still workable, and it's the best magnet design I've seen in terms of practical use - there's a little ledge with a notch cut out of it that's placed at the cuticle to hold the magnet over the polish, so it's easy to get it very close without touching the polish and hold it in place.  I took a good bit of length off my nails to make them magnet-length, but I've got a household project starting in a week I'd planned on taking some off for anyhow, so I figured I'd just do it tonight so I could try one of these out.

I followed the directions on the bottle for this manicure, so I did one coat of Whitehall on all nails, waited a couple of minutes, then did the second coat with the magnet one nail at a time.  Starting with my left pinky, I added a second coat, immediately placed the magnet as close to the polish as I could for 20-ish seconds, then botched it a little by top-coating it too soon and almost completely undid the magnet's work.  I figured if I could undo the magnet, I might be able to redo it before the polish dried and put the magnet over it a second time, and it worked out pretty well.  For the other nine nails, I did the second coat and magnet one at a time, then added a coat of quick dry top coat.  It ends up looking like green-teal Tiger's Eye.

I tried a few different artificial light sources since the sun set several hours ago, this one's pretty yellow for my skin but the most accurate of them for the polish, and I figure you're not reading this to evaluate my skin tone.  You can also see how nicely this magnet works - I'm very pleased with how it worked out.

I have finals this week so I might not be posting too much.  That project that kept me occupied last week went very well with much help from an online friend, but I ended up wearing Beyond the Mistletoe for five solid days and changed it tonight just because I wanted to try out one of the magnetics - it had no chips or tip wear and got at least one compliment from a stranger each day, which was a testament to how cool it is in person.  However, after five consecutive days of glitter, a cool Tiger's Eye manicure is a very nice change of pace!

That is Nail Inc Whitehall Magnetic Polish and the update for today, so until next time, Dear Reader, love and nail polish to you!
